Joseph Ajang Barach Ajang Biography

Joseph Ajang Barach Ajang

Executive Director, Kenya

I was born in 1984 at Jonglei in Twic East County of South Sudan and raised a staunch Christian upholding high Christian values and advocating for the fear of God. I was brought up in a remote area where I participated in simple activities such as herding and fishing.

Between 1998 and 2006, I attended Fuji primary school where I successfully studied and was awarded the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). I proceeded to Monar House High School and successfully completed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

I also have a certificate in Health Care and am computer literate having successfully completed a three-month course in computer application packages

Over the years, I have enriched my knowledge and working experience by engaging in various jobs. These include general services at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), Health Care Supervisor at Kakuma Refugee Camp, Xavier Organization as a voluntary coordinator, Community leader at Twic East Community in Eldoret, Kongor Youth Leader in Kakuma Refugee Camp and the Founder of Amot Girls Foundation.

Having been born and brought up in Kongor, Jonglei State of South Sudan, I have a clear picture of life over there. My concern is  about the state of our mothers, sisters and daughters. I hope to influence others so as to work together towards alleviating the situation.
